The city of Aventura was initially developed in the late 70’s and thru the 80’s as a high-rise residential area. Aventura is home to the popular Aventura mall which has brought the city much popularity. The city of  Aventura was incorporated on November 7, 1995. The latest census of the population has close to 30,000 residents living in this city. Aventura is located 3 miles South of Hollywood, Florida. The word Aventura means adventure in Spanish. Stunning high rises and great shopping!

 

Coconut Grove “The Grove”

Coconut Grove is split into two areas, Northeast Coconut Grove and Southwest Coconut Grove with a population of approximately 19,646 according to the 2000 U.S. Census.Coconut Grove was established when the city was incorporated in 1919.[2] Coconut Grove is better known as “The Grove” by the locals. This beautiful, lush tropical village is Miami’s enchanted heart. This treasure has been attracting artists, musicians, writers, tycoons since the 1800’s. The village of Coconut Grove is pedestrian friendly and has breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay. When walking thru the famous “Co Co Walk” you begin to feel like you are in a different country. The foliage, music, shopping, outdoor cafes, sailing and water views make you feel tropical and exotic !

 

Coral Gables “The City Beautiful”

Coral Gables is better known as “The Gables” by the locals. The “City Beautiful” is known as a pedestrian friendly destination famous for “Miracle Mile” with over 100 dining establishments, shops and boutiques. The city was developed in the 1920’s and the city’s architecture is mostly Mediterranean Revival Style. Almost simultaneously to the founding of Coral Gables, the city was selected as the home to the University of Miami. Coral Gables is located four miles from the Miami International Airport. According to U.S. Census estimates in 2005, the city had a population of approximately 42,871. Coral Gables is known for its lush tree canopy, parks, tennis courts, bike and walking trails and miles of waterways that add to the charm of “The City Beautiful”.

 

Coral Springs

Despite the name, there are no springs in the city of Coral Springs. The city’s name is derived from the primary developer who was known as Coral Ridge Properties a division of Westinghouse. Coral Springs was officially incorporated July 10,1963 . The city of Coral Springs is known for its low crime rate and its family-friendly living. The city is located in Broward County and only 20 miles northwest of Ft. Lauderdale. According to the 2007 U.S. Census estimates the city’s population at 126,875. Great place to play tennis and has been recognized as one of the safest cities in America to live in.

 

Ft. Lauderdale “Venice of America”

Adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean and New River known as the “Venice of America” because of its expansive and intricate canal system sprauling for approximately 165 miles. This city is a yachting mecca , with close to 42,000 resident yachts and approximately 100 marinas and boatyards. The city is located in Broward county and 23 miles north of Miami. This great city is a life of its own, hosting over 4,000 restaurants and over 100 night clubs. Ft. Lauderdale is a popular tourist destination with visitors close to 7 to 9 million a year. According to the 2007 U.S Census estimates, the city had a population of 183,606. Ft. Lauderdale is an amazing city to vacation for its 7 miles of stunning beaches, yachting, night life and entertainment. Let’s not forget over the years Ft. Lauderdale has become an amazing city to reside in –not only for the popular neighborhoods it has established but also the expansive growth in business.

 

Hollywood

Hollywood is located in Broward County , between the cities of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale and has a population of close to 141,470. The city was founded in 1925 and has become the twelfth largest city in Florida. Since the 18th century Hollywood is home to the “The Seminole Indian Reservation” and just recently “ The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel” where many residents and tourist enjoy gambling. Hollywood can be divided into four areas. Hollywood beach located on the Atlantic Ocean offering a beautiful beach with a long “Boardwalk” with oceanfront shopping, dining, entertainment and running path. Downtown Hollywood is Art Deco and offers galleries, shops, dining and a beautifulpark. The third and fourth areas include residential housing, small businesses, hotels and casinos. Hollywood is popular for it’s Art festivals, dancing and music. Hollywood gives you and old Florida kind of feel. Beautiful beaches and restored 1930’s Art Deco architecture!

 

Kendall

Located in Miami-Dade county an unincorporated suburban community with a population of approximately 75,000 according to the U.S. Census. Locals include the western communities as part of Kendall which include The Hammocks, Country Walk, The Crossings, Kendall Lakes, Kendall West, and Three Lakes. Kendall is home to broad spectrum of education including the Miami-Dade College and the Florida International University. The residents of Kendall enjoy a plethera of shopping plazas, authentic restaurants, local bar hangouts and cinemas. Kendall has a cultural ethnic feel with a since of community.

 

Key Biscayne

Home to Crandon Park and the incorporated Village of Key Biscayne, the southern area of the island is in Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and adjacent to Biscayne National Park. This beautiful island is located in Miami-Dade County south of Miami Beach, between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay and has a population close to 10,000 according to the U.S. census. The Rickenbacker Causeway built in 1947 connects the Key to Miami. Key Biscayne has many historical landmarks and interesting beaches.

The Tequesta Native American tribe inhabited the City of Miami for more than a thousand years before the Spanish claimed the area around Miami for Spain in 1566. 100’s of years later after the Seminole War Julia Tuttle, a local citrus grower, convinced Henry Flagler, a railroad tycoon, to expand his Florida east Coast Railroad to Miami. Miami was officially incorporated on July 28, 1896. Today the population estimates 2,500,625. Miami has conquered so much over 100’s of years to give it its strength and heart. Miami remains a major international financial cultural center.

 

Miami Beach “ SoBe”

Miami Beach also known as South Beach is a barrier island connected to the mainland by a series of bridges. Miami Beach has a huge Latin American population which gives the city its flair and exotic nature. Miami Beach is the glamorous Riviera of the United States and has been recognized as one of the world’s top cities to visit. SoBe consists of 23 blocks of beautiful Art Deco architecture, vibrant nightclubs, trendy luxury hotels, outdoor seating and the famous “Lincoln Road”. The real estate tends to be valued more because of its world-renowned popularity. The approximate population is 87,295. Miami Beach continues to be an international mecca for travel, business, and permanent residents.

 

Palmetto Bay “ Village of Parks”

APalmetto Bay has recently become incorporated in 2002 in Miami-Dade County. The Village has over 25,000 residents and is located west of Biscayne Bay. Palmetto bay is know for their “A” rated schools and family-oriented atmosphere. The Village has six beautiful recreational parks, annual art exhibits in Coral Reef Park, markets, dining and bay access for families to enjoy. The Village has many plans for future development.

 

Pembroke Pines “Join Us and Progress with us.”

Pembroke Pines is a city in Broward County and was incorporated in 1960. According to the 2006 U.S. Census estimates, the population of 150,064 making the city the eleventh most populous city in Florida. Pembroke has been recognized and achieved many city awards and accolades. Many schools in Pembroke have received the “Five Star School Award” from the Florida Department of Education. After the natural disaster in August 1992 , Hurricane Andrew led to a huge increase in the cities population. Many families lost their homes in the southern part and migrated north to Pembroke into the new subdivisions being built. Pembroke Pines adjusted to the new residents by starting its own Charter school program which is now accommodating over 4,600 students. Pembroke has a great sense of community that has events such as art festivals, parks, museum, golf, theater, dining for every family to enjoy.

 

Pinecrest “The Village of Pinecrest”

Located in Miami-Dade county with a population of approximately 19,432 and officially incorporated on March 12, 1996. Pinecrests projects since 1996 include Pinecrest Gardens and several new parks, Wi-Fi technology, planting of thousands of trees, unique street signs, repaving of roads, community center, Miami-Dade library system and many more beautification projects. The Village also has its own radio station that updates residents on current events and topics. Pinecrest has so much to offer to its community including local markets, popular dining, shops, pedestrian walking and recreational areas. During the 50’s the area advanced in development and constructed ranch style homes on 1 acre lots, which set the character of lushly landscaped residence.

 

South Miami “The City of Pleasant Living”

Incorporated in 1927 and is one of the counties oldest municipalities with a population of approximately 10,741 according to the U.S Census of 2000 it encompasses 2.5 square miles. South Miami borders the cities of Coral Gables and Pinecrest, it also borders the famous University of Miami. The U.S. Highway 1 (South Dixie Highway) has a traffic count of tens of thousands a day traveling thru the city. South Miami has a vibrant life consisting of the Shops of Sunset, dining, night clubs, downtown business district and the new South Miami Hospital medical office complex. In current progress the Oxford medical complex, City Hall and a major mixed use development entitled Red Road Commons. South Miami is recognized as a unique “small town” atmosphere.

 

Surfside

The Town of Surfside was founded and incorporated on May 18, 1935 it encompasses the area from 87th Terrace to 96th Street located on the Atlantic Ocean along the famous Collins Avenue between Miami Beach and the Village of Bal Harbour. Surfside has an approximate population of 5,838 inhabitants. The Town is known for a superb family vacation destination and an amazing place to reside. All the residents and resorts of Surfside are all within walking distance to sophisticated shopping, restaurants, parks, playgrounds, tennis courts and stunning beaches. Surfside is very close to all the excitement that South Beach has to offer, downtown Miami, State parks, golf courses, marinas and airports.
